As you may or may not know, my name is Remus Lupin; I'm a former student of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and also a former professor at the same school, having taught Defence Against the Dark Arts for a year.

During my time at Hogwarts, I was a Prefect for Gryffindor House; since graduation, though, I've had some trouble maintaining a career, due to a medical condition from my childhood, but I'll spare you the details...

Currently, I'm spending much of my time in Hogsmeade and at Hogwarts once again, fulfilling promises to some old friends.

Disabilities and Handicaps: Without fail, on the full moon, Lupin turns into a ravening werewolf, though a potion allows him to maintain his consciousness during the transformation.

Behavioural Profile
Introvert/Extrovert: Lupin is an introvert by necessity if not nature, isolating himself from others both emotionally and physically.
Optimist/Pessimist: Perhaps slanted more to the 'pessimist' side; life has not been all that kind to Remus Lupin.
Dressing Style: Lupin isn't entirely unfamiliar with Muggle clothing, but whichever style he dresses in, his clothing tends to be threadbare and often repaired, as he generally can't afford anything new.
Phobias: Lupin's greatest fear is, ultimately, himself: He fears the werewolf side of him, and the sorts of things he can do when transformed by the full moon, violent and uncontrollable.

Family: Parents, deceased.
Relationships: He's on good terms with almost all the members of the Order, but Lupin's true friends are now all dead; he has a deep, abiding hate for the traitor, Peter Pettigrew, though not so fervent as Sirius once did. He also sees himself as now responsible for Harry.
Place of Residence: Currently, Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
History: Born into the wizarding world, Remus Lupin suffered an accident as a child which resulted in his being bitten by a werewolf, and thusly infected with lycanthropy. His already middle-class family fell on hard times as a result, and it was only through the intervention of Albus Dumbledore that Lupin was allowed to attend Hogwarts. At Hogwarts, he fell in with James Potter, Sirius Black and Peter Pettigrew, and was even made a Prefect in the futile hopes he could exert some control over James and Sirius.

After Hogwarts, Lupin was recruited into the Order of the Phoenix, though he otherwise had poor luck finding a career, thanks to his 'condition'; years later, he filled the Defence Against the Dark Arts position at Hogwarts for a year, though he resigned when it was made public that he was a werewolf. Now, though, Lupin has returned to the halls of Hogwarts, at least ostensibly for his own safety.
